Description

LADDERSGeneric PLC package is the basis for all LADDERS PLC specific packages and represents a common platform. One of the major benefits of this common platform is a standardized user interface including a common text editor, rung editor, data editor and file management system for all PLC specific versions of LADDERS.   LADDERS • Generic PLC is designed to support documenting, editing, cross referencing and printing Generic PLC logic. Some general features of the LADDERS • Generic PLC package include the ability to maintain documentation using reports of missing and unused labels and the support of a wide variety of output devices supporting many paper sizes, print types and page formats. Some of the engineering tools available include cut-and-paste between rungs, the ability to copy groups of rungs and the use of macros and macro libraries.

A key feature of the LADDERS • Generic PLC package is the ability to create typical circuits using symbolic addressing that is transportable to any other PLC vendor supported by LADDERS.

This common database platform used in all LADDERS packages is the basis for our LADDERS • CodeXchange system.  CodeXchange is able to port 60-90% of the ladder diagram code--with data--from any PLC we support to any other.
