GE Fanuc Automation
Corporation's CIMPLICITY product is an integrated management and control system used to
monitor and control factory floor equipment such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs),
CNCs, robots and other manufacturing devices. Direct program
upload and download is possible from the LADDERS interface with a run-time link to the
CIMPLICITY application software. The screen pictures below show the user selecting NETWORK
as his UPLOAD source. This causes LADDERS to connect to CIMPLICITY and create a POPUP MENU
of the DEVICES from the CIMPLICITY Device Communications Open Architecture Interface
(DEVCOM API). |

LADDERS can convert GE
Fanuc Logicmaster PC files into CIMPLICITY VAX files and vice versa. This ability provides
a method of backing up program files from the VAX on IBM PC floppies for use with the
WorkMaster if the network is unavailable in an emergency. The pictures below show this
conversion.

The EXPORT TO parameter offers the
user several choices of FILE TYPES as shown below. This simple interface allows the user
to convert a job to any file format supported by LADDERS by simply selecting the new
format during a compile.
