The General Motors 'Boss' Kettering Award is only presented a select few within the company.
In 2009 MicroCODE created the Scalable Error Proofing (SEP) Windows CE App.
After a success deployment in the four GM Korea plants it was nominated for this award and won.
Necessity is the Mother-of-Invention, this app did not exist, and General Motors needed the ability to walk into 'low automation' assembly plants and protect the quality of very specific vehicle components.
So based on our track record of Windows CE Apps for the factory floor GM contracted MicroCODE to build a new App that could scale from a single station to an entire plant.
"SEP Actions (CE)" was the result and was awarded the 'Boss' Kettering Award.
This app would go on to be installed in almost every GM assembly plant, on literally thousands of stations on the plant floor.
